A note from our team

One cup at a time.

Buy a cup of coffee for yourself — and another for your future. Give my team five dollars, make it monthly, and we'll house and protect one hundred or more coral each and every month.

A cup for you. A cup for the reef.

Why Coral — and Why Coffee?

Meet the tiny engineers of the sea.

Most of us go about our daily lives and have no idea what coral are or why we should even care.

Humor me a moment and I will tell you why I think you should buy these guys a cup of coffee.

Coral, as we think about it, are made up of colonies of hundreds, thousands, millions of tiny little animals that live in colonies where they create the unique formations we collectively call "coral." They have no eyes, but can sense and react to different colors. They have no ears, but can feel the "sounds" of a healthy reef environment. Through some amazing source, they are able to communicate so that all of their species, at a certain day and time, release their breeding gametes simultaneously to allow an annual spawning event to be successful.

The more we learn about these amazing creatures, the more we come to realize that their collective energy is the model for all life on this planet.

The list of things they accomplish as filters and barriers is impressive — but overshadowed by what they make possible in the ecosystems of the sea, and by default influence the sustainability of life itself.

Yeah, you can spend five bucks on a cup of coffee to sustain your day. It's a wonderful treat in our lives. But give my team five dollars, make it a monthly occurrence, and we will house and protect one hundred or more of these tiny life-generators with every "coffee" you send. They will reward you by self-replicating their resilient, adaptive traits into unimaginable numbers until they recover the strength and beauty of the tropical reefs we once knew.

What we do works. We don't count bodies — we measure success by the size of the recovering ecosystems that we have given these tireless engineers the ability to help foster, "one cup at a time."
